A Great Day

Enjoying a nice warm mug of Stash raspberry Hibiscus Herbal Tea as I write this. And I gotta say it's really good. If you're a tea fan, Stash has some wonderfully awesome teas. I bought a huge sampler box over the holidays and picked up some more flavors at the grocery. Their Peppermint Tea rocks, as does the Chocolate Mint Oolong. Oh, and the Super Irish Breakfast and Double Bergamot Earl Grey blends are good too! All those are my new favorites.

Yesterday was one of those hugely awesome days. I went to bed with a smile. This made two days in a row for me. First off, my embroidery supplies came in. Now I can play. :-)

But most of all, I had a blast with my small group ladies from the guild. Eight people showed up and we laughed and stitched and laughed some more. Everyone was doing something different but we were all together.

Yesterday I got wrangled into a committee chairmanship, but I begged off for just a seat. Over the years I discovered I'm not a good leader, but I'm the best darn worker bee. So now I'm a member of the activities committee. I've already got an idea for a group activity, so I need to take it from concept to reality. It's a way to give everyone a chance to get to know each other.

I also volunteered to help with the education committee. I want to learn more. I miss my mentor in Cincinnati, and I'm hoping to find one here.

This weekend will find me with my sewing bag on the coast. It's a low-volume weekend. Hubby's had a crazy last couple of weeks at work. Business is booming for his company. And he needs a couple days of R&R. So we booked a cheap condo at off-season prices on the coast. I love a cheap room!

I must be "nesting" as I was emailing with a couple of friends the last few days wondering why I've been buying so much fabric lately. I've got two packages coming that will be full of stuff. One is filling in some of my bundles to complete some projects I've got planned (backings bindings, etc), and the other has three huge bundles that were marked down that I couldn't resist. So I'll be graduating to ten wire shelf system drawers of fabric in my studio. I've added two drawers in one year. YIKES!

I'm feeling guilty about it, but I can't stop. I feel like such a hoarder. Hubby doesn't mind. He says that sewing is cheaper than a shrink...LOL! And yes, hubby's a keeper for sure!

Stash has some wonderful teas. Another to try is Holiday Chai and Christmas Morning. I think they're both seasonal, but keep it in mind.
Oh and Estate Breakfast. I usually buy mine loose and in bulk.
I agree, keep your hubby !

You can't sew without fabric! Enjoy your weekend, hope there will be quite a few more awesome days in a row.

Don't feel guilty! You are supporting this economy and we need that! :)

What's to feel guilt about? You've already made the purchases and, really, you need to sew and quilt. Make something for a family member, if necessary, so you can feel better about the fabric purchases. Works for me, anyway.
