Circle of Friends

Yesterday was my sewing day with the small group from the guild. I had a blast. About eight of us got together and stitched away in some way, shape or form. Lots of chatter, lots of laughter. I love the sisterhood I've found with these women. They range in age from the 30s-80s.

I swapped out my hexies for wool, and played around with a couple of pieces. So far I've only got the two circles completed. Nothing was planned, I just went by stream of consciousness on these. I can't wait to see where these circles go. I love how each circle can be different, yet be a part of the group... Like our small group. Each and every one of us have had a unique life experience, yet we all share our love of sewing together.

This is a guild-intensive month. I have a meeting next week, and a sleep at home retreat after that. throw in a few free sews at the local craft shop here and there and I'll be busy as a bee!

Oh wow! I'd love to be that busy with sewing and quilting (instead of homework and preparing for classes). Thanks for the sweet comment on my blog. I'm really enjoying reading yours.
