Fabric Friday - Road Trip

Good morning everyone!

Let's start off with a smile? Are those pugs not the cutest? They are so laid back!

Welcome to Fabric Friday. I got a cute squishy surprise (in box form) in the mail. This is something fun I got in the mail from my quilty bud, Brandie of ABC. Four generous 1/2 yard cuts from Swirly Girl Design's Clubhouse line (Michael Miller Fabrics). This totally took me by surprise and really, really made my day! Thank you, my dear! I have a secret love for blue and white... I've been collecting fabrics for a special blue and white quilt, so these will definitely go into that pile. :)

Today I'm off to Puyallup, WA to go to the big Sewing & Stitchery Expo. Gathering Fabric (one of the local shops here in Washington's Wine Country) hired a shuttle service to drive us all down and back for the day. I'm "sew" excited!

The funny part is that I gave up buying fabric for the Lenten season. LOL. Talk about going from the frying pan into the fire! Not to fear. I booked continuous seminars during that time, giving me limited time on the exhibit floor. I'm there to learn. (wink!)

Yesterday was sewing with the ladies. I gave one of my friends a bag of fabric scraps from the last year. She got two quilts out of scraps. This is one of the quilts she made from my scraps. Isn't it adorable?

I'll be posting about my Expo adventures over at the I Have a Notion blog later this weekend. Kelly of IHAN asked me to keep her business blog going while she is away. Anything to help out a my sister in stitches. Don't worry, I'll post the link when it gets published.

Well, I gotta scoot. Need to get ready for the expo. I'm sure I'll try on fifty outfits before I find the right one. LOL!
